Essential Functions:

Team of engineers supporting the interfacing and interoperability of Omnicell products with outside vendor systems. This position is responsible for working with various cross functional teams to deliver highest quality interfaces. Develop specialized code for each vendor system that Omnicell partners.

  • Working knowledge of Agile and Kanban software development models in delivering highest quality products that meet or exceed the expectations of internal and external stakeholders

  • Expected to handle multiple projects in a cross-functional environment, influence project direction, and make decisions in collaboration with members within the team.

  • Work with team leads in setting interfacing standards for Omnicell

  • Responsible for assisting in developing technical communication and training of Operations and the Technical Assistance Center (TAC) on interface technologies

  • Develop and test software solutions that meet business requirements

  • Will be responsible to work with various cross functional groups including but not limited to field operations, marketing, support and service to gather integration requirements

  • Liaison between the cross functional groups to convert the functional requirements into technical requirements and help with prototyping/designing the interfaces and tools to be developed

  • Will be responsible to work with other engineering groups and provide the level of technical leadership for other members of Interface Engineering team

  • Will be responsible to review requirements document and create functional/design documents

  • Help with creating the Interface Team roadmap working closely with various cross functional teams

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expert level understanding of C# and .NET library

  • Expert knowledge of C++, MS-SQL

  • Understanding of specialized data exchange formats such as HL7 and X.12

  • Working knowledge of XML and JSON

  • Data exchange methods such as FTP, SFTP, HTTP(S), TCP/IP Socket and emerging communication technologies

  • Expert level understanding of object-oriented software design and programming

  • Working knowledge of Agile development processes like Scrum and Kanban

  • Knowledge of developing Web services and Windows Services

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and TFS

  • Working knowledge of Java and Angular programming.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years developing software leveraging Microsoft development tools

  • 5+ years’ experience working in a development team environment

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Prior experience working in healthcare industry is a plus

  • Experience in supply chain or inventory management

  • Prior experience with remote monitoring tools is a plus

  • Knowledge with Windows security

  • Familiarity with Microsoft patterns and practices

  • Understanding Microsoft Terminal Services technology

  • Office Environment

  • Up to 25% travel may be required to customer sites and corporate locations
