Omnicell has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Pharmacy Technician to work at Hackensack University Medical Center. The Corporate PharmacyTechnician is responsible for oversight of the IV compounding with the Omnicell IV automation equipment, perform employee and customer training, coaching, and support for Omnicell IV Automation products. The Corporate Technician works collaboratively with Program Management, Project Managers and Engineers as well as hospital project team members, to ensure customer’s productive use of the IV automation products. The Corporate Technician will identify any customer concerns and report them to the Pharmacy Services Manger.

Provide instruction and consultation regarding standard operating procedures, best practices and problem resolution for Omnicell IV automation products.
Provide guidance and instruction regarding overall IV workflow for compounding including production schedules, staffing, documentation, and beyond use dating (BUD) sterility release testing.
Provide competency training and validation for employees and hospital personnel as necessary.
Recommend drugs to be added to Omnicell IV automation products based on data usage, demand, and workflow.
Instruct staff regarding performance of environmental monitoring activities for the IV Automation products.
Complete special projects, reports and status updates on a regular basis for program management and project team as necessary.
Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
Travel to remote sites to provide temporary coverage for IV automation customers as needed.
Maintain fiscal responsibility for business related expenses associated with Company-issued credit card.
Responsible for monitoring and ordering consumable supplies required for the operation of the equipment.
Responsible for prescribed maintenance of equipment and reporting unresolved equipment issues to the support – Help Desk.
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by aligning the Pharmacy Services program to provide customer-focused support emphasizing quality, professionalism and responsiveness.
Promote and optimize customer product ownership and satisfaction by serving as a skilled resource.
Comply with reasonable procedures, policies and guidelines established by the Customer facility.
Maintain state and/or national credentialing to meet established guidelines.
Proficient in the use of PPE and hand hygiene techniques.
Working knowledge of sterile environment requirements.
Good organizational skills, accurate, reliable and efficient.
Demonstrated customer-facing skills.
Strong interpersonal, communications and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with mechanical equipment.
Working knowledge of computer hardware, PC Windows.
High school diploma or GED
Able to obtain pharmacy tech license in various states
One year of experience working in IV Compounding
Previous experience in hospital pharmacy.
Two plus years of experience working in related field preferred.
Knowledge of pharmacy automation.
Capable of standing for several hours at a time.
Potential exposure to hazardous drugs.
Able to lift 25–30 lbs.
- Selected candidates may be required to pass a math aptitude test.
