Omnicell Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Decision Support Analyst to join our Sales Analytics team located at our office in Cranberry Township, PA. The candidate will help the Sales organization increase sales effectiveness and efficiency by improving the business’s data infrastructure and developing automated performance reports from multiple data sources. The candidate will support Sales strategies and objectives via statistical data analysis, forecasting, process improvements and sales reporting.

The candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, IT/IS, Operations and Marketing to achieve organization goals.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Sales reporting, data and statistical analysis and data infrastructure.

  • Takes the lead in defining issues and ideas to be studied as well as the approach (methodological and technical) to be used in addressing studies and projects.

  • Creates and/or develops new methods of analysis, database design and performance measurement or, in some cases, adaptation of existing solutions to new areas.

  • Develops tools to identify historical and forecasted product and resource requirement trends and provide analysis reports and action plans to management.

  • Performs modeling of data sources and flows, works with data management staff to define an operational framework that will define, develop and implement policies and security frameworks to ensure precise and secure deliver of knowledge and information.

  • Maintain and manage existing reports by troubleshooting or performance-tuning where necessary

  • Responsible for design, development, implementation and administration of database architecture that support business objectives

  • Establishes and implements standards and strategies for data management, lifecycle, and quality.

  • Extract and compile data using SQL queries with filtering, grouping, and aggregate functions as needed. Meet with Analytics and Sales team to identify reporting needs and to review data.

  • Gather information from the sales team and independent representatives to assist in forecasting

  • Create executive level reports to support strategic sales direction or to support proposed changes to sales direction

  • Develops and maintains moderate- to extremely-complex computer programs using 4GL programming languages (such as R, SQL).

  • Provide timely, relevant and accurate analysis of Sales performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan

  • Analyze the key drivers and metrics vs. historical performance, budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans and communicate results to leadership for decision support, plan reviews and operational reviews

  • Utilize financial models that incorporate all relevant metrics and drivers of the business

  • Communicate analytical results verbally, in writing and in presentation form to all levels of management

  • Other duties as assigned.

Specialized Knowledge/Skills:

  • Advanced skills in data analysis, definition, design, logical modeling, and physical implementation of relational and dimensional databases, primarily using Microsoft SQL Server - SSAS, SSIS, PerformancePoint and/or SharePoint/Excel Services recommended

  • Must be comfortable and proficient using large and complex databases.

  • A high threshold for ambiguity and lack of structure and process during early phases of engagements

  • Extremely proactive with a strong bias for action; naturally inquisitive; desire to continuously improve current business practices/processes.

  • Effective verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation and negotiation skills with demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-functional team projects

  • Ability to work independently:

  • coordinate efforts with other members of Analytics team

  • interact with project stake holders

  • take responsibility for executing and delivering on time

  • work with the team to design solutions and troubleshoot new issues

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Statistics, Computer Science, Market Research

  • 4+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, data science, computer science or related field.

  • Experience in the healthcare industry and with Salesforce is preferred

  • Experience with Qlik Sense and/or Tableau
