Technical Field Service Engineer - Medical Automation

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical service to the engineering team.

• Demonstrate competence in various engineering disciplines, particularly related to RDS & PS24 products.

• Conduct planned routine maintenance and corrective tasks on products and associated computer systems.

• Perform duties in a professional and courteous manner, promoting company interests.

• Manage car stock control effectively and complete service administration tasks promptly.

• Provide customer training and instruction as necessary.

• Handle Incotec tickets & tasks efficiently.

• Act as a key contact point for customers in the designated region.

• Report to the Field Service Team Lead Australia and matrix report to the Sr Manager Service.

• Support Helpdesk and non-technical teams in other departments.

• Undertake any other duties within the role as required.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Higher education qualification HNC/ONC in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, or Mechatronics, or proven career history in field service or technical service.

• Willingness to learn new products and technology.

Experience:

• Minimum three years of experience in customer support within the technology industry.

• Extensive field service experience, engaging directly with customers.

• Experience in fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, or design of electrical/electronic circuits.

• Experience with various systems and components including high-value machinery, pneumatic systems, sensors, computers, servo motors, etc.

• Proficiency in using relevant software packages such as Microsoft Word & Excel.

• Understanding of the Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry is desirable.

Working Conditions:

• Home-based hybrid working, living near motorway networks.

• Travel throughout Australia required for field service work and training.

• Occasional travel to the UK for training.

• Role involves scheduled maintenance, ad hoc support calls, parts replacement, fault-finding, safety checks, and stock counting.
